curl error 56: Received HTTP code 502 from proxy after CONNECT

hi everyone,
i’m just starting out with unity and every time i open the unity editor i receive the same error: curl error 56: Received HTTP code 502 from proxy after CONNECT
this has made it impossible for me to download anything from the asset store which prevents me from following the tutorial i’m using…
i would really appreciate your help!

Check you network settings for proxy setup. 502 means Bad Gateway. You should fix proxy settings or remove them to use direct connect instead.

What do you mean by ‘fix proxy settings’?

u connect to store via proxy, disable is advised.

Hi, you should fix ur proxy network setting on your computer. Im using mac, so for me i would go to system preference and network.
