Editor perfomance in windows 10 remote desktop

Hi all,

Sometimes i need to work with remote desktop connection to my main workstation where i use unity. While having windows 7 pro, I used to work, slowly, but with no problems. But since the upgrade to windows 10 pro of both machines (client and main), the editor performance while using remote desktop it’s terrible. Every single operation takes a while, and if you take a look to the task manager you can see that UnityEditor it’s eating a whole core.

Any ideas? My setup is:

  • Unity 5.3.4f1 x64
  • Client: core 2 duo, 4gb, and a shitty gpu.
  • Main: i7 4770K, 24gb and 970.

Same setup two weeks ago (with windows 7 pro in both computers) was working with no problems. And working directly in workstation with windows 10 has no problems, so it’s something related to remote desktop.

Unity is the only application that it’s making problems, the rest of my apps works well in remote.

Thanks in advance.

Forcing editor to DX 9 improves a little the performance, but this is annoying :face_with_spiral_eyes::frowning:
