Hello.
I loaded up my project yesterday and the editor UI isn’t displaying properly. My first launch I suffered from the red text problem I’ve seen before here. I fixed it by reverting the layouts to factory settings and that worked for a day. Today I loaded up my project and the editor UI isn’t displaying properly again, except this time it is completely stuck in this weird view that is between Normal and Debug mode. I tried reverting the factory layout settings, reimporting everything in my project, and removing any assets that have custom inspector scripts. All of that did nothing! I am pretty stuck now and don’t know what to do. The only thing I’ve found that is working is creating a new project and migrating to that new project but that would be more work than should be necessary for this problem. I tried searching the forums for related problems but I don’t know what I would call this problem.
Is there a possibility that a certain asset or problem is making this happen that will save my project? I haven’t added any new assets recently and have been working with the same files mostly for 5+ months. I’m on a tight deadline and I’d prefer to not have to go through that trouble.
Picture of my problem below.
As you can see in this picture, the layout view is on the regular “Normal” view but it is acting like the debug view (which looks different from this view.) I cannot use the editor to do anything really, not even disabling an object.
In this picture is the PlayerSettings. It should have a better looking Inspector which leads me to believe that all inspectors aren’t loading for some odd reason?
Any help is appreciated.
Edit: I’m using Unity 5.6.5 installed to an SSD.
