Error: Could not find a part of the path C:\... on checkin attempt

Hello all,

I have an issue when I attempt to checkin a specific set of files.

The file path is quite long.

I think that may be the cause but this error has no useful information for me. I’d rather have a way of uploading these changes without changing the file path stuff. I can’t recall if Unity specifically looks for paths in loading scenes and I’m not interested in finding out if entire levels need to be redone (talking hours and hours of work have to be redone).

How can I fix this without changing the specific path of these files?

Thanks
Dan

Hi,

Can you try to checkin the changes via the Plastic GUI instead of the Unity plugin?

From the following link:

I’ve seen most of the time, this setting change helps:
UPDATE 2019/01/29: If you use Windows 10 Home you might need to follow the steps explained here: https://www.howtogeek.com/266621/how-to-make-windows-10-accept-file-paths-over-260-characters/
