export bendhandle object from maya to unity

Hi all,

I am very new to maya and unity and please forgive me if i ask an obvious question. really appreciate your help.

How could i export object that is animated by bendhandle in maya as fbx and open it in unity?

  1. shall i select the object only or the object with bendhandle curve?
  2. in the fbx export setting ( refer to the attached image) have i missed out anything?

I have tried various export setting, the exported fbx is not animated as it is meant to be.

In addition you can now use Blendshapes if it fits your case.

Or you could bake to a point cache file and use an asset from the store to play it back, or even use the same asset to directly apply bends just like in Maya and Max to your objects.
