Hello everyone,
I been using unity for a few years now (which lead me to make a game, that has been live on Steam / Android etc for around 3 years now, and that i still update with new content)
I started the game with 2018.3, then early last year switched to 2019 (i forgot “why”) as my game isn’t huge it wasn’t really a need.
Last month i finally moved into the 2020.15 (which has LTS) so it was a smart move (at least i though), after working several week on the update, when i put it on test, someone found out that the CPU usage was WAY higher (x2 to x3 what it usually was), so i though about something i did but after a while i decided to try to go back to 2019 just to test if it was the version (and yes it seems like it was that)
I went back & forth trying to change setting & stuff (i even tried with a few fresh empty project, or with my “future game” that i’m working on), no matter what i do on 2020+ version (i tried up to 2021 even), they always use 3x more CPU, and i got the FPS cap.
So i was looking at the forum and saw only 1 post over the past 6 months about this issue, which ended up unresolved. My question is, does no one has noticed this ? Or is there is a new settings somewhere that i totally missed which would kind of turn off a new super awesome thing that eat up CPU ? (cause my game is mostly text with a small animation going, it never used a lot of CPU)
Sorry for the long post i hope it gave enough details, and hoping someone else had this issue
