Game Testing

Isn’t hardware support an important issue to tackle as well? I have had software stop working, or have encountered unusual bugs in programs before, after having updated an existing piece of hardware or replacing one such as a graphics card, or processor. I remember many game beta sign up questionnaires required identification of specific hardware to allow report sending in the event of program failure, and bug squashing. Wouldn’t you want to allow as many unique computer builds access to your software to test such things? Granted it’s applicable on whatever scale.

Well for my previous games, i used family. I got some ok feedback but since they’re all really casual gamers it was also limited.

For my current game I’m going to use TestFlight and get some real feedback before release.
