Hey, I’m trying to find any game dev team that is looking for a tester for their games. I was wondering if anyone knew where the best place to look for that may be. FYI I’m looking for more of a small Indie team and not a big corporation. I want to practice with something small first. So, if anyone knows where I can find a group that needs their game tested, I don’t really need pay since they’re an Indie team, please let me know. Thanks.
We are looking for a tester and feedback for our 3D open world RPG (full playable early access).
If you are interested in playing it, that would be helpful for us:

Of Course if you want, we could give Feedback on your Feedback.
A new Version will be online tomorrow but with very minor changes…
Thanks ![]()
I am also looking for feedback. Message me ![]()
There are two types of testers and they have very different roles, which do you want to do? There is playtesting, where you play the game and you’re recorded or do a survey or something, then there are bug testers who jump at a wall a thousand times to make sure you don’t clip into it. The former tends to be one-time things where bug testers tend to be regular jobs (usually just called QA.)
Actually, I try to do both whenever I work as a tester…
Did you have a game you wanted me to test?
Yes and no. I’ll need to hire one eventually, but it’s too early for me to put down any money. There are probably some projects in the WIP forum that’s in need.
Oh, I was actually doing this for free since I’m just starting out. However, I’m busy with trying to fix my computer right now. When I’m done, I could test it for you. Although, I can’t handle strong games.
Do you happen to have a Mac? I plan on building my game for Win/Mac/Deb but during development, my MacBook is where I build. However if I have someone who wants to test my game out, I could probably cross-compile pretty easily.
You can earn reasonable money being a video game tester but you have to be prepared for long hours at times, especially when deadlines are near. There is a lot of repetition but if you’re passionate about games, then you’ll know how annoying it is when a game doesn’t perform well upon release, only to find that the developers then spend months releasing fixes and patches which should have been resolved before the release happened and in some ways, this is down to a lack of (or inefficient) testing along the development path. A video games tester’s role is becoming vital to the future success of the industry in some ways - without meticulous testing, many franchises will fall away over time, no matter how big they seem now.
