giftgaming Unity Plugin - Major brands sponsor your powerups (Featured in TechCrunch)

Hello all, giftgaming lets you monetise easily and turbo-charge in-app purchases; brands sponsor and deliver free powerups and currency to players. The way TechCrunch describes it: giftgaming is a “Win-win-win that helps you win”.

With giftgaming, you can get players to spend more by offering a more premium gaming experience. And of course, surprise gifts are the best for loyalty and retention.

After a year in development and testing, I’m delighted to announce that the giftgaming Unity Plugin is now released. You can go and download the giftgaming Unity Plugin at: www.giftgaming.com/publishers

It can be integrated in less than 60 seconds and with zero lines of code as demonstrated in our video below. You also don’t even need to sign up a giftgaming account as we provide a Demo API Key – however, we recommend you do so you can manage your own gifts and work with major brands.

how much does it pay each time?

Is there a limit for players? how do you determine that limit?

Thanks for your questions.

How much it pays each time depends on each brand. I’d be happy to discuss in more detail if you send me an email: nick@giftgaming.com

The limit is determined by the game developer. Right now, we have simple Minimum and Maximum Time Between Gifts. A gift will then be randomly delivered between these two intervals.

Is there anything you’d like to see?

So your saying game play stops to deliver a gift?

What is the price range of payments currently?

Can you make it so they click a button to receive it so it is a choice thing?

Thanks for your questions. I have answered them below.

Q: So your saying game play stops to deliver a gift?
Gift delivery example is shown above – it doesn’t stop the gameplay as such as it is opt-in and very quick to open/close.

Q: What is the price range of payments currently?
If you have say 100k monthly actives, with giftgaming we estimate your gross monthly revenue (before our rev share) would be $10,000 per month. I’d be happy to go over the figures in private.

Q: Can you make it so they click a button to receive it so it is a choice thing?
Apologies, did I not make it clear from the above screenshots and text? The player can choose whether or not to open the gift. giftgaming is entirely opt-in.

and what is your rev share?

What I meant is you make it sound like a random event. If I was to do this I would want it to be start a level, want a powerup, click here, type of thing

Hi Raider,

Our rev share right now is agreed on a case-by-case basis. We are however offering very competitive rev shares. And at the end of the day, it is your game and you’ve put all the hard work into it! You deserve a fair share.

You could probably do that if you want to. As we’ve just launched, we’re working closely with our game publishers to take feedback onboard and improve the plugin to meet needs. Though it is up to you, we recommend making the gift random as we believe that will give you the most optimal loyalty and monetisation (based on research we’ve done).

Please email me nick@giftgaming.com if you’re interested to discuss this further.

Kind regards,
Nick

Looks like a great idea, especially for people like me that dread the thought of adding intrusive ads to their games, but still want to make money without IAP or upfront costs. I’ll try it out in my next project.

Does this work with the web player too?

Great! Glad to hear it, Darkcoder.

It does indeed work with Unity Webplayer (and PC).
