Hello! Before anyone has a chance to say “rtfm” I want to point out that I have a mild dyslexia and I’m having a hard time comprehending some things. I’ve been at it for a few years now on and off, and I’m back once again. But this time, I’m sucking up my pride and I’m asking for help.
So I’m working with the tutorial “Ability System with Scriptable Objects”
I’m not trying to make anything official at this point that I can market, I’m, just trying to play with Unity so I can learn the software. For as long as I can remember I’ve had this profound love for the character Yoshi from Super Mario World. So, using the love for that character as motivation, I’m trying to teach myself ScriptableObjects and coding in Unity. The idea is that you could pick a specific color from a list and then the character (Yoshi) you play as would have the proper color attribute, as well as the different ability(s) associated with that color. For example, blue yoshis could fly with a shell in their mouth.
I’ve already developed a list of things that I need to accomplish but I get so confused with trying to go forward.
Before I go on, I first just want to ask, is there anyone out there who would be willing to help me out if I asked for help?
When I get home from work today I’m wanting to dedicate some time towards setting up a short list (maybe three) colors to choose from. If I get stuck I plan on asking for help here in this thread.
