Is there a problem with Unity

Im new to unity so Iv bin going over the in house tutorials. Ive completed a few so far. Everything was going fine. But for some reason all my players movements are moving up and left all on there own. Ive even gone back to check previous projects that i know where working fine. And unfortunately they to are bugging out. Im just wondering what could be the problem. Is there some issues with the Engine itself. Or what? Can someone please help.

This is just classic low effort bullcrap post. There’s even talk of problems with the Engine itself because his players are moving up and left on their own.

No code posted for movement script, what it is attached to etc. No information about the project. Nothing.

But, he has completed a few tutorials and then came and posted this.

If you want free community help, you need to post the code and what you tried so far. Otherwise you’d need to hire a tutor or a freelancer. The most plausible scenario is that you have a bug in your code, and the bug is yours.

While unity is not perfect. The mistake or problem is almost certainly in your code

You probably have an analogue joystick plugged in. Analogue directional sticks are never 100% precisely centered, even when you’re not touch them. If you’re simply basing your movement off of the input axes then you’ll get a drift.

I’ve had a similar problem with games where I thought something was bugged only to realize that my controller somehow ended up upside down and one of the sticks was getting triggered intermittently.

Hey Thanks a lot you guys. I actually just reset my input manager settings, and it worked out.

Hey little guy, If you arent going to be a positive help, keep your little thoughts to yourself…

Being able to articulate your issue and provide the right and enough but not too much information so people can help you is key, in a slightly blunt way thats all he was saying, and he was right you didnt share with everyone enough information for us to follow or recreate or look into what the problem is, and that does make it a low quality post.

I got you. I apprieciate your help. Im very new to the whole game dev and coding thing. So Im not use to the etiquette here. But I will provide more info next time. Thanks again

Here is something about the world that will help you.

It’s the little thoughts that were spoken very loudly that brought wonders to the world. Grow thick skin or die bleeding from a little cut.

lol. i like that one.
