Hi, I’m having a frustrating time trying to get isometric tiles to work correctly for me. I have downloaded several isometric tilesets from OpenGameArt.org, as well as some Unity assets that were made available for free. Somehow, the Tile Palette that is already setup by Unity has a perfect conformance to each 1x1 diamond, and that includes any that I add from the OpenGameArt tiles. Now, when I go to create a new palette and set it as Isometric, everything breaks down and any tiles that I add take up approximately a 2x2 grid space.
Here are some pictures that hopefully explain what I mean. The first picture is the one with a tile palette setup by Unity. It’s perfect.
Next, I add some of the Unity tiles & a few OpenGameArt tiles. Although the latter seem a bit skewed, they still fit the 1x1 area. Note I added four tiles each.
I go to create my own palette using these settings, although I have experimented with others such as Automatic or Isometric Z as Y. Nothing works.
This is the end result. Once again, I added four tiles, but here they take up a 3x3 area. I also added a single tile which takes up a 2x2 area. Please help fix this abomination.
