I've lost sight my scene

This has happened a few times but for some reason when I start scrolling or moving around using the direction buttons the rate in which objects move greatly increases as if I do not have anything selected and then my terrain vanishes out of rendering view and I cannot find it again, not really to sure on how to explain what has happened. I’ve tried selecting my terrain for the hierarchy view to get the terrain back on the scene view but same thing happens, it seems as though it has targeted the terrain view and doesn’t want to deselect it.

I’m guessing I pressed a shortcut key by accident, and this is really bugging me.

Thanks for any help and sorry for the poor explanation on whats going on.

Better Explination: Everything in my scene view seems to be rotating around a center axis, and the scroll wheel is far more sensitive compared to the sensitivity b4 this happened.

Just select some object in the hierarchy panel, switch to the scene view, and press “f”.

Everything in my scene view seems to rotating around a center point, when I use the scroll wheel its extremely sensitive compared to how sensitive it was prior to this nuisance, yay, a better description on whats going on :open_mouth:

Bump ^^

Hi,

Check the scale of your scene / objects. If they’re reallllly small similar effects will happen.

Please refrain from bumping a thread in a short period of time.

Could their possibly had beena shortcut key I pressed on accerdent so I know how to fix in the future

So does that mean you’ve solved the problem?

If so regarding your second question, I’m sure there probably is but I don’t know off the top of my head.

In fact it could have been the result of many possibilities without realizing it.

There are two solutions to this.

First is to do what I suggested previously. Select a game object (the camera for example) in the Hierarchy, mouse over the Scene View and press “f”… it will focus the Scene View Camera on that game object.

The other solution is to reset the layout by going to “Window/Layouts” in the menu and selecting a default layout.

And I also suggest reading the introduction section of the manual here.
