Lightshafts like unreal has for unity3D

I’v found this today:
http://armedunity.com/topic/6862-light-shafts-pro-only/
And this is more then one year old.
Why don’t unity’s team implement something like that built in in the engine ?
It looks so much better then the normal lightshafts unity has, and for the moment one of the big advantages of unreal over unity is the lightshafts effect.

included there.

I’v just checked the sun shafts in 5.0.1 and they are not as good as the one i’v posted here. unity team should really look at this example for my opinion and perhaps use the script on the light point itself instead of the camera ( like unreal does and also this plugin ).

Unity 5.0.1:
( Also i don’t know what is the issue that unity has with effects that looks like old 16bit effects ( look how you can see the separation between colors levels, this issue is escalating a lot with certain values tweaking. )

Unity455 with this plugin:

Thats odd, its worked great for me in the past.

I just realized there is a newer Standard Assets package available, so maybe the beta package has issues with 5.0?

These are the same that comes with the unity installation :expressionless:

They don’t need to look at it because this light shaft example is made by Robert Cupisz from Unity Technologies.

So this is just a better reason why it should be implemented in the official release ! :expressionless:
