Some of my players are experiencing rendering issues, all on Linux. This is relatively recent, with 2012.3.2f1 though I may have shown up one or two releases before. I have checked that their graphics cards satisfy the system requirements.
The graphics look like this:
i.e. distorted colours. Like someone added a surrealism filter.
I don’t have a Linux system to test. Anyone got an idea what causes this? Is this a Unity issue or something I’m doing wrong (e.g. post processing) that for some reason only shows up on Linux?
Use VMware workstation to run a linux virtual machine, install vmtools. I think it will meet the game requirements.
Also try ask about GPU and drivers. You need to give more information, render pipeline, etc.
A VM won’t help me with hardware (graphics cards) issues, I’m afraid. If I spot something, I’ll never know if it’s the VM to blame in the end. And yeah, I’m of course not using a Unity version from 9 years back. Though that would be interesting.
