Missing Repos after Unity Version Control "Experience update"

Unity Version Control is unable to locate all of our 8 repositories and is preventing any users to access any branches. The unity web portal doesn’t even show any repositories. Has anyone else found a solution?

After reading the following documentation, our admin/owner had to manually update to the new permissions. After the manual action, all of the repos appeared in the Cloud Repositories project… crisis resolved…

Feedback for the Product Owner:

  • This manual action was not clearly elaborated.
  • The customer experience was poor and we expect more from a commercial/paid product: 1. we had to hunt for the information to resolve the issue on our own, 2. it appeared that our repos were missing even to the admin/owner. 3. as a result, it caused much chaos for out team on looking for alternative recovery options and will cause an evaluation if your product is viable for our future.

With the experience update, repositories are linked to a Unity organization (the one that created the order) and existing permissions should be respected (if you were an admin, you keep being an admin/manager).

You should have access to a project named “Cloud Repositories” under a Unity organization. Change the unity organization to the new one (apart from the personal one) and use that project and repositories should be there. Ping us over devops-vcs-support@unity3d.com if you need specific guidance.
