Need to learn how to do correct isometric tilemapping

When i try to set up isometric tile mapping from the example i have learned, i get a mess of a tile palette and grid layout in the scene. for some reason the edges of the isometric tilesheet wont conform to the tile palette therefore make the scene look worse too. the tilemap gets all distorted and warped it turns out to look like this nest of jumbled angles.

If anyone knows the optimal way to create a tile map isometrically, and set up a grid scene for it, let me know.

Could you share a screenshot of your Tile Palette and the Tilemap in the SceneView? This would be helpful in seeing how the edges look like for you.
