Is it possible to open more then one unity instance of the application at the same time? If i get a cool tutorial and I wanna copy paste some scripts over to my project from the tutorial what is the best way to do this?
It would be nice to go from one Unity Project to Another at the same time! not sure if this is a question or a possible wishlist item

Only a single instance of Unity can be running at a given time. We’ve had numerous feature requests regarding this, and it may change in the future. In the meantime, you can always paste scripts from one project’s Asset Folder into your live project’s Asset Folder directly from Windows or OS-X.

I have multiple unity windows open at the same time on both windows and mac.
On Mac just duplicate the Unity.app in your applications\Unity folder.
On windows, you need to edit your preferences to show project wizard at startup. That will allow you to select a different project at startup.
