Introduction & Summary

We are looking for an expert to help us bring over the current Unity HDRP project to URP.

The process involves filling out a Google form and (if you are being chosen) completing a short HDRP to URP conversion practical test.

Job Description

Main Tasks

  • Act as the link between the art and development teams, ensuring technical and visual consistency of all assets

  • Create and optimize shaders, materials, and effects (Shader Graph, URP)

  • Handle the migration from HDRP to URP while maintaining visual quality and performance

  • Set up and fine-tune lighting, rendering, and post-processing using URP

Other Tasks

  • Optimize game performance (LOD, batching, occlusion culling, profiler)

  • Develop and maintain Unity Editor tools and automation workflows (C# editor scripting, asset pipelines)

  • Support 3D asset import, rigging, and animation workflows

  • Collaborate closely with artists (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) and programmers to ensure efficient pipelines

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong experience with Unity URP (Universal Render Pipeline) and knowledge of HDRP-to-URP migration

  • Proficiency in Shader Graph; basic understanding of HLSL or ShaderLab

  • Experience with Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max

  • Understanding of rendering, lighting, and performance optimization

  • Optional: VFX Graph, Git/Plastic SCM, RenderDoc, BasicsC# skills (custom editor tools, automation, custom inspectors)

Rates/Payment Method: Fixed contract, possibility of further work in the future, rates negotiable
