This is a project I’m working on the get a better understanding of Unity.
The scene has near earth scale planetary objects, using multiple cameras and floating origin system.
The moon is about 600,000 unity units from the earth, the earth is about 650K units in scale.
Currently My build runs around 150FPS, but is slower in this video because of the recording software and massive resolution I am running it at.
The space SIM controller for the shuttle is largely a work in progress. I plan to add effects for exiting and re-entering the planet including volumetric clouds when your fly through clouds ect.
Currently you can seamlessly enter and exit flight mode of the ship, walk around on it.
Eventually you will be able to land on the moon and get out and enjoy the view of earth ;).
