Secondary Camera Target eye set to none, but main monitor still shows headset view instead of camera

I created another camera in my Unity 5.4.1 project, and set the target eye to None (Main Display) when I start the scene I still see my hmd on my monitor, and not the view from the other camera I added. Everything I saw on google said this should be working. Any idea what i’m doing wrong?

I had a target texture still set from when I was previewing it in scene. once I removed that it worked
