This is not a cherry picked scenario, but a usual occurrence. I do not know, why unity forces these things that just don’t work. Will we ever get a proper search, or google indexing going, or we have to just accept that every piece of knowledge will be lost forever now?
I think the forum software (Discourse) searches for each of these six keywords and ranks them based on most matches. Perhaps it’s clever enough to exclude “and” and “from” because if I do the same search without those common words I seem to get the same result.
Anyway, I agree that most forum software searches are pretty bad and each has its own quirks and hidden features. If you put the search terms in quotes you do get different (or no) results. Try remove members vs "remove members" for an example.
OTOH the comparison isn’t quite fair given the amount of data and context (not to mention manyears of work) Google uses to trim its queries.
