Pretty much just the title. I changed which email address is attached to my Unity ID, and now the Plastic desktop app refuses to log me in.
It non-stop throws open a modal window telling me to choose a login method - either via my Unity ID on a browser or by directly entering my email/password, and neither attempt works. The first technique tells me in the browser that it’s worked, but I return to the Plastic app and it does nothing before the modal window pops up again.
Also, this pop-up window is relentless. I was trying to investigate what was going wrong and it will stop at nothing to steal the focus and get in my way.
Hi,
This problem might be caused due to faulty references inside the configuration folder, there is a simple workaround that we can try, you can find the hidden folder Users/youruser/.plastic4 (Mac) or Users/youruser/appdata/local/plastic4 (windows) it contains the client configuration files, try to rename it to “plastic4backup” with all GUIs closed so that it rebuilds next start.
Next time you start plastic it will prompt you to log in and to create a new Workspace, for this select the same workspace you had before in the route.
Let me know if this helped and if you keep seeing issues please reach us at devops-vcs-support@unity3d.com.

Virtualize your Workspace. Make it dynamic.
Hi Rafael, thanks for getting in touch.
Sadly the workaround didn’t solve it. After renaming the client.conf file and reopening PlasticSCM I was prompted with a fresh look and was seemingly able to log in. However I then found myself in the same situation. This is what I see:

Of those two email addresses, the top one is the new address that I changed my Unity ID to, while the lower one is what it used to be. To be clear I can still log in to the Unity Cloud and DevOps stuff online and see the relevant organisations and repos just fine.
I also found this similar sounding issue which might point to a solution:
Hi @RobertClose , if the issue persists, please open a ticket at devops-vcs-support@unity3d.com.
For anyone visiting this post in the future, with help from the people at devops-vcs-support@unity3d.com we found a solution to this.
I had to sign out from everything including the Unity Hub and Plastic. I removed all accounts from Plastic using the three dots, which was not easy with the modal window popping up to prompt me to log in again. After that I found the “appdata/local/plastic4” folder (Windows) and renamed that folder to something like “plastic4backup”. Next time I opened Plastic it rebuilt that folder and everything started working again.
Happend to me also , really disapionted from it , you had a year to fix it and the same exectly problem hapopend to me now , i am considering changing the email again to the old one
I just had this happen to me.
I logged out of Plastic SCM. Push the Home button in the upper left. Then go to your account. Click the down arrow - the three buttons take a second to show up, but you can click that and “Remove Account”.
I then logged out of Unity Hub. I signed back in, and then added Version Control inside of my project. (Not the hub) I managed to get things hooked up in there I guess because the next time I opened Plastic it worked.
