I did a search online, watched a few yourtube videos, and searched these forums as best I could. I am unable to install Unity 2020.2.0f1. Every time I try I get an error that says “Installation Failed, Something went wrong installing Unity 2020.2.0f1”
I have tried other versions with the same error.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the hub
I have 75GB of disk space (in fact that’s the least of all my drives, they all have lots)
I can uninstall version just fine using the hub
I can manually add versions I’ve installed manually just fine
I can dig into the temp location that the hub downloads to and manually double click the install and it will install!
I have tried to run the hub as an admin
I reset the path where installs would go (C:\Program Files\Unity\Hub\Editor)
I logged out and tried it
I logged back in and tried it
I disconnected my personal license and tried it
I reconnected my personal license and tried it
I have tried to select NO modules
I have tried to select only the documentation module
I have tried to select the documentation and Windows Build Support (IL2CPP)
But for some reason I cannot get the hub to install new versions. I do have 2020.1.17f1 installed as well as 2019.4.16f1, so it did work at one point.
Does anyone have any other ideas on what I can try next?
@Ryiah its not installing when i double click it nothing happen even after running it as administrator
and its not installing from unity hub too its saying no a unity editor
Got same problem. I wont install it manually since I need the sdk package included to my editor. Also the add button is not there when I manually download the editor.
I have same issue with Unity 2020.3.0f1 with Unity Hub 2.4.3 on Mac. Downloading stoped at 99% percent.
Regarding to the offline downloading, I installed the version 2020.2.2f1 and it appears on Unity Hub, but however I can’t add modules through Unity Hub, again I have to download and install components separately.
And since this appears frequently means Unity don’t give a sh*t about it.
Same issue here, also if I try to open “UnitySetup64-2020.3.2f1.exe” from the temp folder at “C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\unityhub-e55e9f00-9337-11eb-8f9e-492a199cfe4e” I get this error.
The only way I managed to install Unity 2020LTS through UnityHub was to FIRST install Unity 2019LTS with Visual Studio and then I could install Unity 2020LTS.
Before this I also reinstalled Windows10 so everything was freshly installed.
I had the sabe issue, it was solved by activating the license in the ->Preferences->License Management. Even using the free version, is required to activate the license or it will fail the installation.
However, I am aware the same error can occurs if there is no enough space.
