Sprite Rendering Problem - Odd White Background

I’m working on a small game mostly just for fun and I encountered an odd problem. I have no idea what’s going on but on this game object and this game object alone this sprite has an oddly shaped white background. Could somewhat explain to me what is happening and how to fix it?

It kind of looks like you’re using a shader that has the alpha set to a constant 1.0. If that’s the case, what you’re looking at is the mesh for the sprite, but with the areas you want to be transparent, instead, pink.

Another thing that could cause this could be that, on the Texture Importer, you’re not using the correct setting. Set Texture Type to Sprite.

The Texture Type was already set to sprite. I’m unclear as to how to change the shaders.

Please show pics of the Texture Importer and the SpriteRenderer. The shader is based on the material plugged into the SpriteRenderer.
