Here is my project, i’ve been working on since 2 years now. Without the Unity asset store nothing would have been possible, so thank you Unity for providing such a tool. I discovered Unity in 2014 and had zero knowledge in coding or so…(i don’t mean that i’m better now :p) But as a gamer born at the end of the 70s i’ve always had on mind the dream of creating my own “world”. So now that i went far enough i would like to share this journey with the community…
What is Takeshi:
A third person adventure game. So described as “Zelda like”.
It’s a simple attempt from an amateur that goes a bit far now…
Here, no Procedural Infinite Universe with billions of planets ;):
I like to call it a Tiny Open World, it’s 8000 * 8000 km.
If Nintendo and Rockstar had a baby it would be Takeshi…![]()
-Hand painted, cell shading and Japanese Manga on one hand…
-Mature content, crazy story, Easter Eggs and references with open world feelings on the other…
Story:
It starts in an Egyptian fantasy land…“No spoil here”![]()
Live your life in a village full of pleasures
or go explore the world, fight Anubis and it’s army…
A demo in 2019-2020?!!
I started on Unity 4 free and thought that this could be a great demo (using a small part of the world).
Update 10/05/19 now the project runs on U2018 with a lot of visual improvement!!!
The Game is Still in development
If the dream can come true i will release the Unity 5 version as a real game or as early access.
Update 10/05/19 Yes!! the game is still in development with a big refactory of the code
One man Game
I started from the “third person template” by Unity wich is FANTASTIC! and then i had to do all the rest…
-My own DayCycle, - Controllers, Inventory, Ui, Dialogues, Sounds, Music,…etc
The Teaser:

Some Unity 5 shots are in this video but it mostly shows the Unity 4 version with No terrain shader, No post processing effect, Basic shaders for models.
DevBlog:
Of course i will use this forum to show the progress and to reveal the integration of some of the best assets of the store in order to give a better look to the game.
Making such a project all alone takes time!
