Timeline scrubbing skips frames

If you have a series of animations in multiple animation tracks then click anywhere within that timeline you will get completely wild results because none of the keyframes between the from and target frame are processed.

Is this the intended behavior? It seems completely terrible. For instance in Max, you can click anywhere in your timeline for the scene and get the exact state of the scene at that frame. This is not the case with Timeline and makes it extremely inconsistent and impossible to preview/debug with any reasonable degree of accuracy.

Ironically when you turn the preview off and on it will be accurate at the indicated frame… (???)

Yes, right now it known behaviour. It doesn’t simulate up to that point, it evaluates the timeline at that point.
