Hi All,
I am thinking in buying a Mini Mac with I7 processor to build both Unity games for Mac and Windows in Mini Mac machine for it, Could I install Unity in this only machine if I have installed Mac OS X and Windows 8 System in it? Is it possible?
Please, let me know your opinion about it
Thanks for your help
Alejandro
PS. Sorry for my little english
You can build for Mac and Windows from OSX. You don’t have to use a Bootcamp Windows OS to build for Windows.
Hi Graham,
First, thanks for your support.
Sorry for my ignorance and only to confirm it, you told me that I can build a Windows 8 Unity game for Windows 8 phone and Windows 8 Store environment from OSX ?
Since I am thinking in buying a Mac Mini but to be honest with you my budget is limited for it, and like I am not sure if buy one with I5 or I7 processor? Do you think that I build Unity games with I5 processor or I should buy one I7 processor?
Thanks again for your help.
Regards
Alejandro
You didn’t mention WSA or WP8 builds before. They require the Windows version of Unity. You can use Unity on a Mac to build a regular standalone exe, though.
You’ll be able to make builds using an i5 Mac. Buy what you can afford.
Hi Graham,
Thanks for the info and your help !
Then, I will buy the Mac Mini I5 and going to add both Windows and OSX into it with Bootcamp Windows OS.
Best Regards
Alejandro
