The download buttons for the free web player on this web site do not work. What they actually give you (well me on 19 ocassions in 24 hours) is a virus. Unity have taken no steps to rectify this problem, all they keep doing is sending me links in badly written (and spelled) emails. I certainly will not be using any of their products even if they do clean up the download and get rid of the viruses.
That’s untrue. No downloads on the unity3d.com site have any viruses. There have been occasions when anti-virus software has given false positives, or else you’re not actually dealing with Unity Technologies (the badly written/spelled emails indicate that you’re probably not, since the emails I have gotten from them are professional).
