Unity editor takes 100% CPU

I am on a MacBook Pro 2018, so a quite powerful laptop, and my Unity Editor opened on an empty scene (not in play mode, but idle), is taking 100% CPU.
Not sure where to look, but I tried with and without Hub version, with or without Metal enabled, but always 100% is taken.
How could I diagnose that problem ?
Thanks

You have verified that in the Activity Monitor in Utilities folder?

Yes I did, see below.
I even closed both Scene tabs to ensure no graphics was displayed, and same result.

When you say you closed both scene tabs, you mean the scene and the game tab? Do you have any extra packages installed? You might start looking there to see what packages are installed, and uninstall them one by one.

You might check out this thread: [bug] High CPU usage but it seems to be mostly related to the Hub version.

Below the list of active packages for my project. I assume the inactive ones cannot cause the issue.
Is there any “strange” one below ?
i’m pretty new on Unity hence unsure what’s “normal”.
In the meantime I had a look at your link, and it does not apply to me as I have tried uninstalling the hub, installing Standalone Unity and same issue happens.
Thanks.

Ok, fully uninstalled Unity (including preferences files) and reinstalled. All’s normal now, CPU down to 5%
