What machine specifications would you recommend for iOS games?

We have a 3D mobile driving game that started off as 20 levels and one “area” to drive in, and is now 260-levels comprising multiple maps to select from.

The project is about 8GB in size (Assets folder), comprising PSDs / 3DS meshes, scripts and PNGs ; a typical game project.

A build takes about 20 minutes on a Macbook Pro (specs :
Apple MacBook Pro MF840HN/A 13-inch Laptop (Core i5/8GB/256GB SSD/ OS X Yosemite/Intel Iris Graphics 6100)

Does anyone have recommendations on how to improve build times, both on the Unity end of things, and with XCode ?

What performance benefit can we expect by investing in more RAM and / or better CPUs ?

How can we get build times (Unity to running app on iOS device), down to 5 minutes?

Build on a high end PC with iOS Project Builder for Windows.

I’ve had this for just over a month and it works really well.

I have a large project that took hours to build on my early 2009 iMac.

It now builds in under 2 minutes on my high end PC.

It can even wireless deploy to iOS devices.
