Why does the bug reporter collect all of my running processes?

Why is the bug reporter collecting and sending all details of my running processes? It’s the only thing that has discouraged me from sending a bug report if necessary.

I get it, an external process could in theory be interfering with the editor, but I think most bugs are not due to an external application interfering. At worst, this type of data collection should be an optional toggle. As a very dumb example, a typo bug report never needs my running processes.

(Example image shows a snippet of default Windows processes, but the full process tree is in there with all running applications and their paths exposed).

bump

The entire project gets tarballed and sent when you file a bug.

Make an empty project with just enough to show the bug, file a bug from there.

Can’t help you with the processes part. If you care enough I guess run it in a docker container or another computer.

Thank you for your reply. Your suggestion will work, but it wasn’t the point.

I was more expecting someone from Unity to reply on this one. It’s an issue because it’s the only official way of submitting a bug.
