Hello folks,
I am trying to determine which solution would be better for making assets?
3ds Max is better, or Maya (or blender, modo too?), not solidworks or other CAD programs…
Or what kind of assets you are making?
What I am needing to do is create basic buildings with moving parts like doors and windows for one project. For a second project I need to make objects that I can then work on so they are destructible. I have autocad experience so something similar is good to reduce my relearning.
Latest autocads do have .fbx export, never tried how it would work with unity though…
but try these basic modelers first,
gamedraw free: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/#/content/7883
probuilder free: http://cgcookie.com/downloads/unity-probuilder/
making them destructible,
i’d look for those mesh exploder solutions from asset store (no need to break the objects manually…)
