Well its around 384 megs or so and you have to do a unistall/reinstall but I think its mostly bug fixes and the like.
You don’t have to uninstall anything that I know of, I didn’t, I kept the other two betas installed in their own folders.
Okay, thanks!
Looks like font sizes, even using the old format by importing with different sizes, are no longer working.
Oh, another small, yet irritating bug, is when stopping an app on “maximize on play” in the editor it stays in max size and you have to manually select to go back to the editor. Sigh.
Good thing it’s still in beta ![]()
This was fixed yesterday and will be in the next release.
Looks like the Umbra PVS/Occlusion culling stuff is still non-functioning for complex scenes. sigh
Haha, yea, I got really sad when I saw this was broken. Luckily, I was able to deploy to iPad! I’ve ported my project to 3 and if things go well enough, I’ll be staying on it and submitting bugs.
What is the unofficial stance on submitting to the app store using the beta? Does anyone know of any gotchas or issues?
Of the three apps I have in development, two simply fail to function in Unity 3 beta 4 (they die on startup.) I think it has to do with prefabs. I don’t have time to debug for Unity, so I’m keeping my Unity 2 install for those projects.
When I first converted my game from 2.6 to 3 I had a strange bug where the menu scene loaded okay,map1 scene loaded okay, but when I tried to load scene1 from the menu it crashed, there were of course there many other scenes. After spending nearly a day I tracked it down to a bug in the level1, okay but that meant I had to isolate the problem through a tedious build and remove test.
