as the title shows im using remote to work on a game.
its great and all and means that i can test a game on a device without having to fork out for the dev account.
but the one problem i find with it is that it renders really badly on my padi. things just looks haggered and not looking very well to say the least.
im happy about the product but cant really work properly with it if it looks badly, as many things appear on screen and you want to know whether things are looking good. and from the pictures on the app store it gives the impression that it render pixel perfect.
Unity Remote is basically just streaming video…the game runs on your computer, in the Unity editor, not on the device. There’s not enough bandwidth to get pixel-perfect that way so it has to be fairly heavily compressed. I haven’t seen any marketing that implies otherwise; on the contrary, the screenshots on the Google Play store clearly show the quality on the device is significantly lower compared to the quality in the editor.
