Editor Foundations Design System update for Unity UI

Happy fall folks! We’ve just released a major Editor Foundations Design System update that includes guidance on:

  • OS Native Dialogs - added Editor dialog functionality and updated message levels (updated link)
  • Icon Library - A new Figma library of .png assets for the current Unity Editor LTS
  • UI Writing Guide - expanded guidance on proper text usage in Editor UI and dialogs

The EFDS is an indispensable guide for Asset Store publishers and others who want to make their UI look “the Unity way.”
As always, we’d love to hear your feedback about the EFDS and suggestions for what you’d like to see added. Thanks!

Thanks for the update! The new OS dialogs and icon library are especially helpful. Would love to see more examples for complex UI flows in future EFDS updates.

Hi Caleb, glad to hear you find these additions helpful. Could you elaborate on the types of workflow examples you’d like to see? We constantly prioritize topics based on user needs, so it would be really helpful for us, thanks!
