inner glow unity 2D sprite

I am trying to just add a inner glow but i cant figure it out

i want the sprite to look like

I thinks it’s not glow, instead it’s normal mapped sprites and directional lighting (maybe even ‘fake’ lighting).
You could actually get away by using some overlay above the sprites

can you please give a example or something how can i do it ? (all the puzzle piece are random shape)
