Letting scenes settle before starting game?

I’m wondering if there’s a standard way of letting scenes settle - physics wise and particle system wise before you actually start the game.

Essentially I’m trying to solve thep roblem of not having to position rigidbodies exactly, but rather let them fall down and settle before displaying the scene to the player.

What’s the best way to do this?

Cheat, start with the camera focused on an object that will not ‘settle’ that has a texture with the logo of your company on it and then have the camera move out and up to the position you want it to start in. This will give the scene time to settle.
