Lighting help (828357)

Greetings! I’m just starting out with HDRP lighting and I’m looking for some tips to improve the overall look of my scene. I’m following the Unite 2020 lighting tutorial but for some reason I cannot get even close to this level of fidelity.

As you can see at around 35:22 in the video, the guy is using a HDRI image for the sky. You can get free ones from e.g. HDRI Haven. A HDRI Sky provides more realistic lighting.

Thank you for the tip! However i need day/night cycle and found no way to do it with HDRI. Is there some kind of way to have both?

Exposure is very important

  1. Sun intensity is much higher in other game engines or offline renderers. But in unity it is very low by default
  2. Always use skybox as ambient source to get realistic lighting
  3. Brighter scene looks more realistic
