Please help.
After working on a project (Train Simulator DSME) using Unity 2019.2.17f1 for over 4 years I finally get a message on the Unity Hub (3.7.0) that my personal license has been revoked. I can no longer open the project.
Fortunately I had just published the simulator but I will need to access it to do repairs or alterations in the future.
When I click on my project in the Hub the familiar splash screen for version 2019.2.17f1 appears for a few seconds then the Unity Hub shuts down and immediately reopens. The splash screen then disappears and the project does not open.
I sent a message to Unity Customer Support and got this message:
"Dear mikethorne23,
Thanks for contacting the Unity Customer Experience team!
Your ticket #1802780 has been created. A Customer Experience Advisor will review your question and respond as soon as possible.
We are currently receiving a high volume of requests relating to accounts, licensing and subscription questions. This has caused a significant delay in our response times and the SLA is 2 months."
As I intend working on the next version of the simulator with a newer version of Unity I downloaded version 2022.3.21f1 LTS several days ago and had no problems and it is working very well.
This matter has caused me great concern and I am questioning my continued use of Unity for further projects. I cannot wait 2 months or even longer to sort this problem out.
Any ideas about what the problem may be? I am concerned that if I do further work using the new version the same might happen down the line so I have ceased all further work on the project.
Thanks if you can help.
Mike Thorne
