Your assessment is correct. For this initial rollout, our goal was to build the foundation: linking new projects directly to your provider, setting up your git remote, and handling the gitattributes and gitignore creation.
We wanted to release this baseline functionality early to evaluate how the core workflow fits your habits before we build further.
Regarding our future plans, your input will help guide our roadmap! Please let us know what features would make this integration most valuable to your workflow (e.g., deeper Editor integration, branch management within the Hub).
