Problem with Adaptive Probe Volumes

Recently I tried a new APV system and then deleted it from my project. Now, I want to bake APV’s again, but I get an InvalidCastException. (I tried to delete the Library folder, but nothing changed)

Hmm. I have a hunch what the issue might be. Do you have any of the following components in your scene?

  • Terrains with trees or detail meshes on them
  • Particle systems
  • Billboard renderer
  • Line renderer
  • Skinned mesh renderer
  • Trail renderer

If so, try disabling them and rebaking, that might help narrow down the issue

Unfortunately, nothing changes after disabling such objects.

In that case, I’d file a bug report with the project attached. There isn’t really enough info here to troubleshoot further.

FWIW, this fixed this issue for me.
