Open Unity Hub → Click the Gear → Licenses → Add → Get a free personal license.

no only the error window opens no unity hub

You need to start Unity through Unity Hub.

you need to setup within it your unity license, it doesnt matter if it is the hub, it actually says it cant find your editor license. So you need to set that up

did you put your license into unity hub? Just remember thousands of people managed this. It is a you thing.

there is downloading the editor and then there is unity hub.

why cant you open hub? i can understand the editor not working ever since they bought out the hub (which I still am not its greatest fan of) but. you arent giving any info for anyone to work on…

im new to unity so i may dont understand some things but when it started finishing downloading unity hub i open it and says “No valid Unity Editor license found. Please activate your license.”
but there is no “open hub” button to open unity hub, i tried many tutorials but i guess this is a new bug or something? i tried unistall unity and reinstall 10x but gives me the same result. all im saying that the “open hub” button doesn’t show up idk why.

Unless you start posting actual information and not just moaning it doesnt work, im out. Originally you were running just the editor, something unity has tried to almost stop you from doing (almost) they want you to use hub. You said you downloaded hub, if you dont have a way of opening it - perhaps you need to install it? did you look further than your desktop? perhaps it didnt make an icon (I dont know I never have icons on my desktop). If you want to be a programmer you will need to put in considerably more effort in working out whats wrong or you will hate the whole journey.

yes so to everyone in this thread… you need to run “Unity Hub”

‘Unity 2022.3.8f1’ is the Editor.
FOR SOME REASON, the Editor is not packed with the Hub, and vice versa.
The link to download the Hub is also buried on its page. https://public-cdn.cloud.unity3d.com/hub/prod/UnityHubSetup.exe < This is the link for the hub download. I’m pretty annoyed by this, since I just wasted half an hour trying to figure out why I didn’t have Unity Hub.
