Why are tree leaves outside of range illuminated by spotlight?

I used tree creator to create a tree and I used the specific necessary nature shaders. Yet, for some reason, when I shine a spotlight anywhere near the tree, ALL of the leaves are suddenly illuminated. It’s very ugly and I can’t see what I’m doing wrong. I’ve seen several other people ask about this and get no replies, so I’m assuming this problem is probably not an easy fix… but I feel like I’ve tried everything. So, why would leaves well outside of the range of my spotlight be completely illuminated? The bark behaves as it should, which can be seen in the attached picture.

I got an answer for you, its the shader that you are using. Try different shaders, for example Advance Foliage Shader.
