Good Day,
I am presently creating a Free App game for the Google Play store so my means on income will be via Ads. I have research many Ad companies and I was wondering how would you check to ensure that you aren’t being robbed.
Is there a script you can put in your game that will tell you how much times your game has been downloaded and how many ads were actually viewed via your game etc?
Any advice?
Thanks
I am looking for help with the same issue. Along with a script to validate the numbers they are reporting, is there a repository of Ad companies, preferably with ratings?
Thanks
You’re just going to have to do research and see what people are saying.
Adding a script to tell how many times you’ve been download isn’t going to help…cause it’s not like it will run. You’ll just have to trust the store you are using to be tracking it.
You can use analytics to record every time an ad is played, but keep in mind this only tracks numbers and not what you’ll make. I think ad fees change, so you may get 5000 views one day and earn a buck and 5000 views another day and get $2.
Plus, there are different types of ads. Brand ads for example pay more per view(that commerical for campbells soup for example) vs a game ad that generally pays for installs.
So, in the long run, just do your research on the different companies, use analytics to track, and don’t rely on ads to pay the bills unless your game gets really big. (and even then, your earned amount can change month to month).
