How to create a 2D drop shadow using shader graphs?

Hi. In unity, I am trying to create a drop shadow effect using Shader Graphs. I am very new to shaders, but I have managed to create a very basic shader that offsets a sprite, and sets its color to black.

This is a step in the right direction, but it is still far from complete. For one, I would like to keep the standard object, and render the shadow underneath it. Something like the below image:

I would also like to connect the vertices of the drop shadow to the object to eliminate the floating effect. Something like this:

I am very new to Shader Graphs, and have no idea where to start with something like this.

Is there any way I am able to achieve this using shader graphs, and if so, how?
