MoCap Importing

I’ve just been handed off two .bip files to use with a model. The problem is that I have no clue what to do to get them into the game. If they’re dropped into the asset folder, they wind up as a default asset which is definitely not what I want. Do I have to convert them to something else to get them imported, or do I need to make him include them on the model before exporting?

I would like to know also…

You need to apply the .bip file in your 3D tool, then export as FBX.

I have no idea how to do that, Maya and 3ds max do not recognize the file. I will try it with blender.

Nope, blender wont take it. Is there actually nothing I can do with this file? Nothing imports it, Everything only exports it. Unity wont take it, blender wont, maya, and 3ds max.

What am I supposed to do with this?

Depends on your tool. Here’s a video for max :

Tried it with max, I am using a newer version and I couldn’t seem to follow along with the video, he used some features that I could not find.

In that case, this question is best asked in the forum of your 3D tool of choice. In your case, unity doesn’t come into play until after you’ve exported a skinned model containing the mocap data you’ve applied to it.

I suppose that would make sense.
Thanks for the suggestion.
