Hey, I am looking for the Time Ghost project (as promised in the Unite) but I can only see packages for the main character or the environment.

Just tried to update my project from 6000.0.22 to 0.23, It crashed in the middle.

Edit: Second try was successful.

That’s all. They are never releasing a full demo projects because their size is hundreds of gigabytes.

even if this is true which I doubt, that should not be a factor in hiding the demo. Is 500Gb? Fine, it will take a couple of days to download, is the price to pay to learn how the stuff is made.

the real reason is that these demos never work inside the normal unity version because the teams working on the demos create a lot of custom code. the engine is customized specifically for the demo. technically is made in unity, practically if you are not an enterprise client with access to the source code and if you don’t have the knowledge to do the modifications these demos are useless for you.

Nope. The last 2 or 3 demos were made on the regular version of unity without any source code or even render pipeline customization.

i’m sure you can post the link to projects and that those projects work in the normal unity.

Very nice thank you!

Nice, Thanks for the effort, it is smooth transition! and just updated our project from 6000.0.22 to 0.23

The ICONS are ugly. The startup interface is also ugly, the proportions are weird, and the ui looks like shit.

It’s more important to make your game not ugly and make profit with unity. Unity editor is just a tool for working, a cool looking editor won’t just make your project cool and profitable isnt it?

anyone have problem with pink material after build to android?
in editor its work well but not in android?
why?

The Windows wallpaper is aesthetically pleasing and high quality. The new splash is not. Makes me want to say the temporary one was better.

The new splash is high frequency and boring. Sorry to say that aesthetics went out of the window this time… regardless, that is not important. We can probably customize it.

What is important is the engine itself, and it is awesome!

You mean this one?

the Ui tabs, menu… take too much vertical space even i have 3840x2160 make feel uncomfortable 2019 Ui Height much better

For Ui i like the Loading Screen move future and the separated Game Window

Tested to upgrade my HDRP project from 2023.1 to U6 LTS and my fps is ~10% worse even with all new fancy features on.

So Unreal can release a full demo that is very large, but Unity can not? Very funny.
For me it’s just another excuse to not show that you can NOT do such a demo in Unity editor in a easy way without a lot of extra tools(unoficial).
The message I get is that Unity company no longer want to truely democratize game development as they constanly do thiese kind of things that are contrary to that filosophy.
I got the mesaage that after the Runtime Fee fiasco (and removing the CEO and other people and restructuring and focusing on their core filosophi) they will no longer gonna do these kind of things. Oh they did this before with previous Unity versions and demos but back then people were upset with it but not Runtime Fee upset.
Unity comp needs to get their trust back, but this does not help. Sorry but right now it’s very hard to get it back.
After Unity comp made me have bad taste in my mouth to be a Unity Developer I am not gonna NOT be critical of all these “mistakes”.
They have to work a looot to make up for these lost years when they focused on flashy demos and features but not real value for developers, just to get more devs hooked on Unity and please investors. Well…how did that go?
