Incredible, isn’t it?
First they kicked us out of BIRP by deprecating it because everybody kept repeating URP is still lacking compared to URP and why’d anybody even use that.
Then those of us who did not like URP happily moved over to HDRP which was also lacking compared to BIRP, but HD graphics plus Unity ease of scripting was a big allure. Many of us even invested a lot on it to make it functional considering just like URP, HDRP is pretty much an unfinished pipeline (also neglected in the last 3 years considering what was promised vs what we got, URP ended up getting all development attention).
But now the pipeline that remains is the one that everybody wanted to avoid.
Getting shoved on our throats while dismissing the ball has always been on their court to make URP alluring enough to be worth moving over to, but they have yet to achieve that outside of killing/deprecating anything not URP as the only incentive to move over to URP ![]()
Yeah, I have moved over URP, but after 3 months of tinkering only with lighting and post-processing, I actively hate this old outdated lighting tech for delivering a realistic game. Feels from 2004. No workarounds.
EDIT: Seems I missed this.
Render Graph Updates in Unity 6.3

That’s something I guess, but then abandoning things when they are this close makes no sense at all ![]()
Guess that’s the resulting lack of resources for certain recent bad business decisions.
