I suggest reading the OP again then:
I am curious, if we will see regarding the mention of Graph unification, if Unity’s Visual Scripting will be getting some attention, hmm. I do hope so!
If Visual Scripting is not abandoned then it’s either Unity 7 or Unity 8 territory. They were supposed to do more than just swap the look and feel of it like the new runtime that was shortly in preview and then disappeared together with any communication about the tool years ago.
Well very true, also surprised to not hear any mention of it since it was meant to be part of their “Learning” tools going forward since they did not continue the Bolt 2 production. Curious to see what comes of UVS.
Thankfully they decided to revive the Behavior Package team and it got an update recently.
It got an update this week with a lot of goodies that was community requested.
Wonder if that package might become a new starting point for Visual Scripting for a short-term future till the Visual Scripting package has been updated.
Wait what? They did revive it? Is this somehow official?
Yep, You can find an older post in which they explain this, this is the last post of last update Behavior Package 1.0.10 Released! Changelog inside
I highly doubt it. The Behaviour package is based on App UI, which has no relation to Graph Toolkit as far as I’m aware. App UI has a warning - “FOR INTERNAL UNITY USE ONLY. THIS FRAMEWORK IS NOT SUPPORTED AND IS USED AT YOUR OWN RISK.” I assume it was made for some of the non-gaming products they had before leadership change. But it’s a technical dead end. Hopefully they’ll migrate to Graph Toolkit down the road but at this point it’s questionable.
My money is on Half life 3 coming out before this does
Hi all! We have posted the Q2 Update for Graph Toolkit here: Unity Graph Toolkit Update (Q2 2025)
Thanks again for everyone’s patience and understanding! Hopefully the update will provide some clarity ![]()
